Who is responsible for your data

What we collect

When you send a contact, demo or analysis request, we receive what you enter in the form: your name, company and mill or site, work email, phone number, country, the topic of your enquiry, material, grade or sample details, and your message.

Why we use it

We use the data to answer your enquiry and to follow up on it, for example to arrange a demo, prepare a quotation or plan an analysis.

The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.

Who receives it

• Tapio staff who handle your enquiry.
• Service providers that process data on our behalf:
  • Amazon Web Services hosts the website and delivers the form emails, in the EU (eu-central-1, Frankfurt).
  • hCaptcha (Intuitive Machines, Inc.) protects the forms against bots. It processes your IP address and browser data when you use a form.
  • Google Workspace is our email service.
• Google Ireland Limited receives website usage data through Google Analytics, only if you have accepted statistics cookies.

Website statistics

The website sets no marketing cookies. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland it runs only if you accept statistics cookies in the cookie banner, and the legal basis is your consent; elsewhere it runs unless you switch it off in Cookie settings. See the cookie policy. When you send a form, Analytics receives only the type of form that was sent, never your name, email address or message.

You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. The cookie policy lists the cookies and how long they are kept.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any customer relationship that follows from it. [retention period to be confirmed by Tapio]

Your rights

You have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you
• have inaccurate data corrected
• have your data erased
• restrict the processing of your data
• object to processing based on our legitimate interest
• withdraw your consent to statistics cookies at any time
